Dr Alison Semmonds BMED FRACP is a geriatrician, general physician and perioperative medicine specialist who has extensive experience managing complex medical problems in hospitalised patients.

She has also managed patients in rehabilitation units across Sydney and in Lismore. Alison has moved to the local area from Lismore where she worked at St Vincent’s Private Hospital and had clinics focusing on a broad range of geriatric syndromes and also preoperative consults.

Prior to Lismore, Dr Semmonds worked at the Sydney Adventist Hospital on the general medicine roster and enjoyed looking after adult patients of all ages with a wide variety of medical problems along with post-operative care of all types of surgical patients. This also included management of parenteral nutrition.

Prior to her six years at the SAN, Alison completed advanced training in geriatrics in Concord RGH, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital.

Dr Semmonds will be focussing on the inpatients of Gosford Private and Brisbane Waters Private Hospitals and does not have a private clinic.
