Dr Ruchir Chavada is a Staff Specialist in Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at both Gosford and Wyong Public Hospitals, Brisbane Waters Private Hospital and Gosford Private Hospital.
Dr Chavada did his physician training at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney and completed his advanced training in Infectious Diseases and Microbiology at Nepean and Liverpool Hospitals in Sydney.
He has a special interest in the management of infections caused by multi resistant organisms and postoperative surgical and orthopaedic infections.
Besides this, he is qualified as a travel medicine practitioner providing advice on prophylaxis for overseas travel/vaccines and other preventative measures.
Dr Chavada has published extensively in the field of infectious diseases and microbiology, and is involved in several quality audit and research projects on the Central Coast.
