Dr Mohammad Mohaghegh is a Specialist Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon who has dedicated a lifetime acquiring qualifications, training and experience pursuing his passion of helping patients and transforming their lives by performing complex Reconstructive micro-surgery and strengthening self-esteem through delicate Plastic Cosmetic Surgery.

What attracted Dr Mo and drew him to becoming a Plastic Surgeon was his high level of surgical skill, attention to detail and the artistry that is paramount in Plastic Surgery. It is the combination of refined technical expertise with the aesthetic flair of repairing and, at times, enhancing form and shape to transform patient’s lives and confidence that continuously inspires him.

After obtaining his medical degrees and being selected into surgical training, he embarked on a further 20 years of rigorous general surgery and plastic surgery training including a surgical research degree at the university of Sydney, before being awarded his FRACS (Plastics) under the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, the only government recognised body for training Surgeons in Australia.

Dr Mo finished his undergraduate training in 1996 at TUMS University and completed his specialist training in General Surgery in 2001 and subspecialty in plastic surgery in 2013.

He further received the Sydney Burn Foundation’s Scholarship for his Master of Philosophy degree at the University of Sydney and graduated from there with a Master of philosophy in "Living Skin project ” in 2015.

Dr Mo has extensive training and experience at leading local and international hospitals. During his training as a fellow he spent one year in Liverpool hospital focusing on hand and facial trauma, more than 2 years at the prestigious Burns unit at concord General Hospital and two years at St. Vincent’s hospital focusing on Microsurgery, breast reconstruction and Aesthetic surgery and at Royal Children Hospital in Melbourne with focus on craniofacial anomalies, cleft lip and cleft palate surgery. He has spent more than a decade working with leading Cosmetic Plastic Surgeons in Australia which has given him a broad experience in Aesthetic surgery specially in breast surgery.

In 2018, Dr Mo was awarded the Fellowship of Royal college of Australasian in plastic surgery. Upon successful completion of his Fellowship, he undertook a further post-training Fellowship in Hand surgery, Microsurgery, Lymphedema and facial animation surgery at Macquarie University Hospital in Sydney.

Dr Mo is known for his constant dedication to his patients and takes considerable time to discuss the available options with his patients before commencing the treatments to restore freshness, function and aesthetic balance. His distinct approach combines personal attention and clinical expertise with warmth, compassion and care.

Outside of his practice Dr Mo is a proud father of two, enjoys painting, sculpture, cycling and reading psychology.

Dr Mo is affiliated with ASPS, SAPS, ASAPS. ISAPS Leap. He is also a member of the Medical Advisory Committee for Brisbane Private Hospital.
